Obituary for Siegfried Irion
Siegfried (Ziggy) Irion, after a short illness passed away peacefully, with his wife Lynne by his side, on Wednesday, December 1, at 88 years of age. Dear father of Norbert (Kim), Doris, Bill (Robert Southworth), Catharine (Chris) Martin, Lisa (Mark) Smith, and Richard (Shawna) Hayes. Beloved Opa to Krysti (Paul), Ben (Monica), Roger, Erika (Dale), Kurt, Karl, Della, Benjamin, Joshua and Alan. Great-Opa to Roman, Lena, Ivor, Eleanor, and Edison.
Ziggy worked at GM for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was Past Master of Adanac Lodge #614 A.F & A.M, Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario, Most Wise Sovereign of Niagara Chapter of Rose Croix, Honorary Inspector General 33° Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Canada, Royal Arch Mason - Mount Moriah Chapter 19, and Past President of the St. Catharines District Shrine Club. Donations can be made to the Shrine Hospital or The Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Passfield Mortuary Services Inc. A Masonic Service and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
