Plumley, Shirley Helen (nee Baumann)
Our beautiful mother passed away peacefully on Monday January 16, 2023 after a very lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Russell in 2021.Dear Mother of Ruth Swain (John), Jill Stratford (Bert), Baby David (deceased in 1955), Kathryn Pascuzzo (Frank), and Bruce (Ronna). Mom was also a foster mother to several children. Shirley is survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Shirley spent many years helping Russ with his insurance business. After the business was sold, she worked for Office Overload, which eventually led to a full-time job at F.A.C.S. She was also very active at the Silver Spire United Church (Formally St Paul St) in the U.C.W, Explorers and choir.
The Family would like to thank the staff on Montrose unit at Millennium Trail Manor in Niagara Falls for their wonderful care of mom for the past six years.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PASSFIELD MORTUARY SERVICES INC. (905) 682 0474. A memorial service for both Mom and Dad will be held at Silver Spire United Church at a later date. If desired, a donation to a favourite charity of your choice in Shirley’s name would be appreciated by her family.
