Samantha Dawn MacCormick, suddenly died at home on June 25, 2021. She was born to the late David and Elaine McInnes on June 8, 1984.
Samantha attended Niagara College, where she graduated from the Child and Youth Worker Program. For several years, she was employed with Pathstone Mental Heath. Samantha was youngest of three children, her sisters Susan and Brenda Sullivan remained close to their sister and both will miss her greatly. Samantha is survived by four children, the loves of her life, Oliver, Piper, London and Trinity. Samantha loved being a Mom.
She is also survived by her brother Kyle McInnes, her aunts, Marilyn McInnes and Diane Hiseler , cousins Tara Brady and Candace Edwards, nephews and nieces. Sam will be greatly missed by her best friend Melissa Thompson, Brian Taylor who shared her life for many years, Neil Taylor who was always there for her and many more friends.
Samantha was predeceased by her parents, her step-father, Rob Labinowicz who she adored, her nephew Brody Buck who loved to Trick or Treat on Halloween with her and the kids, her sister Tina Brady and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Samantha loved crafting and enjoyed making presents for the kids and her friends. An avid hockey fan, Sam loved her Toronto Maple Leafs and was proud that her children were active in sports and in outdoor activities. She loved all animals , big and small.
The family wishes to thank all of those who messaged, sent cards, flowers and we ask that you remember Samantha in your thoughts and prayers.
Her graveside service will be held at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery, 3900 Farr Ave, Ridgeway, ON, L0S1N0 on July 29, 2021 at 11:00 am . Because of COVID-19, restrictions are in place- attendance is limited to 25 persons and masks are mandatory. Rev Bill Thomas of People's Memorial United Church Ridgeway will officiate.
