Patricia (Patti) L. Ireland, 54, of St. Catharines, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, December 10 after an extended battle with cancer. She was surrounded by photographs of her closest family members and in attendance as she made her journey was her dear friend Dee.
Patti was born to Arthur and Corleen (Carpenter) Ireland on April 30, 1968 in Cambellford, ON. After graduation from Huntsville High School, Patti was a bus driver for many years for the school district, and later for Coach Canada. Patti had an infectious laugh and zest for life, she loved nature, amusement parks, and travelling.
Patti was predeceased by her father Art Ireland and brother Rod Ireland. She is survived by her mother Corleen Ireland, brother and sister-in-law Tim and Terri Ireland, sister and brother-in-law Marcia and Terry Joiner, sister-in-law Joanne (Rod) Ireland, son Shawn Ireland (fiancée Erica Williston), Daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Andrew Brooks, granddaughters Julianne and Olivia, longtime friend Deb Hockridge, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be private and held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (memo Palliative Care Unit):
