Obituary for Lorna Anne Rees (Haycock)

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our Warrior Princess Lorna Anne Rees on Friday April 8th, 2022 at 55 years of age.
Loving wife of Jim and loving mother of her sons Matthew and Nathan Thompson and her step children Crimson (Trevor), Tara (Alin), Johnny and many grandchildren.
Predeceased by her father David Haycock (2017). Lorna will be sadly missed by her mother Dianne Bolton, her sister Sue (John), sister Lorri, brother Paul and sister in laws Debbie and Cheryl, brother in law Tom and her nieces and nephews.
Lorna worked as an Educational Assistant for the Niagara Catholic District School Board. Lorna loved to travel by plane, her truck or her 2008 Softtail Deluxe Harley. You would often find Jim and Lorna riding their Harleys with friends on sunny weekends.
There will be a ride in Lorna’s honour from Tim Hortons in Chippawa prior to her Celebration of Life for family and friends at Harbour Fellowship Church, 51 South Service Road, St Catharines on Saturday, May 14th at 1:00 pm. Fellowship to follow at the church after her service. The ride from Tim Hortons in Chippawa will be the leaving parking lot at 12:00 noon. Arrangements have been entrusted to Passfield Mortuary Services Inc. St Catharines.
A special thank you to nurses Tanya and Iran and all her caregivers as she courageously fought her battle against pancreatic cancer.
Jim is making a special request that donations in Lorna’s memory be made to Hospice Niagara 403 Ontario Street, St Catharines (hospiceniagara.ca) (905) 984-8766) because of their compassion and exemplary care offered to both Lorna and her family.
