On January 28, 2023, our beloved sister Karen passed away at the Greater Niagara Falls General hospital at the age of 65 with family by her side. She had fought a very long battle of cancer that unfortunately consumed her entire body. She was a stubborn soul that refused to give in, until she couldn’t any longer. Karen is survived by her partner Tony Gionet and sisters Maryanne McNeil, Carole and Pete Couturier, Nancy and Gerry Lohr and sister-in-law Katherine Anne Beatty and her furry friend Molly. She had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Mary Beatty and her brother Charlie. She was fortunate to have many friends; Maryanne, Laura Linda and Audrey to name a few. Karen loved the Boston Bruins and always apologized to Pete when they beat the Habs. Karen was a lover of all animals and any donations to the Lincoln County Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by her family.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Feb 10, 2023 at the Armenian Community Hall from 2-5p.m. 156 Martindale Road, St. Catharines.
