James “Jim” Gilbert Reid passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, in his 91st year after a brief illness. Jim was predeceased by his wife Elaine, his parents James and Sarah Reid, sisters Marion McCallum and Verna Bryan and brother Roderick. Loving father of Roderick (Sandra Kurek), Lesley Rice (Dean), Robert (Linda) and Peter (Margaret Kay). Cherished Papa to Andrew Reid (Chelsea Csikos), Hilary Bartley (nee Rice) (Christopher), Matthew Rice (Rachel Greene) and Jennifer Reid. Fondly remembered by great aunts Marjorie Burns and Elizabeth Lindsey, sister-in-law Sophia Agler and brother-in-law Roger Agler (Sharon). Sadly missed by dear friends, Dan and Linda Degraw, Janet Main and Tanya Williams. Jim was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a life member of The Imperial Veteran’s Association. Jim’s family would like to thank Dr. J. A. Schultz and his staff (Lena and Margaret) and nurse practitioner Ms. Paule Breton, for their many years of dedicated medical care. The family will host a celebration of life to honour both Jim and Elaine at a later date.
