Darren Robert Clark
It is with sadness and shock
that we announce the passing
of Darren.
He was taken suddenly on
Wed., May 12th due to a
COVID 19 related heart attack.
He is predeceased by his
Father, Charles (Bud) Clark
(1986) and his half Brother
Douglas Clark (2015) and all
his Grand Parents.
Darren will be sadly missed by
his Wife, Catherine (McPhail)
loving Daughter Cassie and
his beloved Son, Brendan.
He also leaves behind his
loving Mother June Clark, of
St. Catharines, and his half
Sister, Ellen van Wijngaarden
(Tony) of London, Nephews, a
Niece and many Cousins and
extended family.
Darren was born and raised in
St. Catharines and was a
graduate of Lakeport S.S. He
was known for his quick wit, a
smile that could light up a
room and being that person
who would drop everything to
help someone out.
His favourite joy was to watch
his kids play sports or perform
in band competitions. Whether
it be Soccer, Hockey,
Volleyball or Gymnastics. He
was always the kids loudest
supporter and #1 roadie at
music festivals.
He coached Hockey for the St.
Catharines Kiwanis
organization. He loved seeing
kids get better doing what
they loved and was known
around the rink as the coach in
the shorts.
Darren was an avid sports fan.
His favourite teams, the
Philadelphia Flyers, The
Washington Football team and
the Michigan Wolverines
would always be on the TV in
season.
He was loyal employee of
Henniged Automotive for over
30 years where he leaves
behind family rather than coworkers.
Cremation has taken place
and a private internment will
be at Victoria Lawn Cemetery
A celebration of Life will
happen at a later date due to
Covid protocols.
If anyone would like to make a
donation in Darren's name, he
was a huge advocate for kids
in sports and recreation.
Please think of the YMCA
Strong Kids charity or
Jumpstart.
