Obituary for Constance June Desrosiers (McKenzie)
DESROSIERS, Constance (née McKenzie)
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Garden City Manor in St. Catharines, Ontario at the age of 90. Cherished mother of Debra (Bob), Wendy (Kevin), Tom (Isabelle), Terry (Roxane) and Jamie (Kelly). Much loved and sadly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Connie is pre-deceased by her parents, Elmer and Ida McKenzie, her twin brother Keith and her brother-in-law, Tony. Dear sister of BeAnn (Bob), Jackson (Vera), Joy (Orville), Carroll, David (Janice), and her sister-in-law, Amelia as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Connie was born in 1932 in Ottawa, Ontario. She was a gifted pianist and organist, taught and loved music, painting, dogs and ice cream. In later years she was known for her beautiful custom card making which are keepsakes for her family. Connie will be remembered for her exceptional crochet work, her wonderful laugh, and her beautiful smile!
Connie’s family gratefully extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Suk and the wonderful staff at Garden City Manor (her home for the last 3 ½ years) for their remarkable care and consideration. Special mention and wholehearted thanks to Gale Blaylock for her invaluable support and many visits with our mum.
In keeping with the family wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Passfield Mortuary Services Inc. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or March of Dimes would be sincerely appreciated
