Obituary for Colin Jeffrey Adam

Colin Jeffrey Adam
1956 - 2022
As once I was I am no more. No longer in pain but at peace. My body put me through every curve ball it could, I hung in until now. I passed peacefully at home on August 16 with my family at my side.
I leave behind my best friend and wife Joan (Heckman) as well as loving children Leigh (Adri} and Danny.
The lights of my life are my grandchildren, Morgan and Dylan de Groot, Journee and Waiverlie Adam. Also leaving behind my loving in-laws (Rob (Karen) and Howard (Nancy) as well as their children (Joey, Jordan (Kristin), Katie (Nevin), Lindsay (Steve) and Gregory.)
I started my career at Kimberly Clark at the age of 16. Worked through every department until I retired as Logistics Manager at Clearwater Paper after almost 40 years. I have many memories of wonderful people I worked with throughout my career.
My happiest memories were spending time with our children’s activities. From skating competitions with Leigh and softball tournaments with Danny. Camping, parties with friends and lounging by the pool. I enjoyed the company of so many wonderful people on these journeys.
I loved to travel. Cuba was a favourite destination, Dominican and Costa Rica were great as well. We frequented Collingwood and Wasaga Beach often with the kids and dogs. Give me my favorite beach chair, a sunset and cocktail and I am living my best life. I am hoping I will still be able to see my NASCAR races – perhaps at a different angle.
I am in heaven now with my mom and dad, brother, sister and brother-in-law, my in-laws, many old friends and many pets. 7 cats (yeh I pretended I loved them) and 2 awesome dogs.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Passfield Mortuary Services Inc. St. Catharines. There will be a celebration of his life planned for a later date.
