Obituary for Barbara Patricia "Barb" Calhoun
CALHOUN: Barbara (Barb) Patricia (nee Campbell)
August 11, 1932-December 18, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Barb announce her passing at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 89. Her body will no longer suffer from the Alzheimer’s and dementia disease. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Alvina (Mickey) Campbell and sister Beverly Maslen. Beloved wife of Edward Calhoun, much loved mother of Michael (Linda) and Catherine (Robert) von Massow. Cherished grandmother of Trevor, Brent, Danielle and Samantha. Great grandmother to Karter and Hudson. Barb was very active in her church and the community. She enjoyed a full life with her husband, travelling and entertaining with family and friends. Their house was always the center of many gatherings. We would like to thank the Palliative Care team and staff members of the hospital for the extremely impressive care she received in her final days. As per Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PASSFIELD MORTUARY SERVICES INC. (905) 682 0474. A small family service will be held at Silver Spire Church on December 23, at 2:00 p.m. The service will also be live streamed @ silverspire.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or Silver Spire Church in St. Catharines, would be appreciated by her family.
