Obituary for Anna Mae Bowes (Laugher)

November 12, 1939- August 16, 2021
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Anna will be missed by her husband Jack Bowes and her extended family. Loving mother of Kelly, Gary, Tammy (Keith), Laurie (Mike), and John (Dana). Grandmother to Jennifer, Cory, Brad, Brittaney, Caden, Dalton, Payton, Olivia, Raegan, Kerstyn, Lucas, and Osheana. Great grandmother to Taela and Makera. Words cannot express the countless cherished memories that will forever be with her children and their families.
After high school, Anna worked at General Motors for ten years, followed by Dominion and A&P until she retired. Her favourite pastime was watching her grandchildren play sports, and she could always be heard cheering them on from the stands! Anna's smile lit up a room and she loved to socialize with her family and friends. She was a dedicated member of the Merritton Lioness as well as the Red Hat Society. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at Club Capri in Thorold on Sunday, August 29 from 1-4 pm. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Hearing Society in Anna’s name would be greatly appreciated by her family. Online condolences may be made at www.passfieldmortuary.ca
