WOROKEVICH, ALAN ELMER

Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 80th year, after a hard fought battle with two cancers. Alan will be greatly missed by his large, loving family, who he was always there for. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife Shirley (Irving) for nearly 60 years (September 16th). He was a very caring and loving father to Marsha (Steve) Schafer, Brenda Smith (deceased February 12/21) (Jeffrey), Rob, Ruth Boucock (Andy). Dear Poppy to Heather and Tara Schafer, Rachel Young, Cassidy, Marlon, Andre, and Afeisha Smith, Derek, Brad, Chad, and Brenna Boucock, and 9 great grandchildren. Alan is predeceased by his parents Frank and Molly Worokevich, his siblings Arnold, Evelyn, Lillian, Harold, and survived by his sisters Marion Dula and Audrey Halstead. Uncle Alan will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and by many friends. He was a retired General Motors employee who worked many years at Plant 1. Alan was a very hard working, kind, generous, and fun-loving person. He was proud of his many beautiful hanging baskets and gardens that were enjoyed by all who visited. As per Alan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, September 29 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan’s memory can be made to the Walker Family Cancer Clinic or to waramps.ca.
